Our DJ’s

Over the course of his 30 year career our man from Paris has sold more than a million copies of his eclectic outings. Without any marketing budgets, and mostly on indie labels.

Never ask Dimitri From Paris what his going to play prior to a set, he doesn’t know, and always let’s the crowd inspire the moment.

As the French Ambassador of stylish club sounds, Dimitri from Paris is everything his nation could be proud of: a DJ, producer, and remixer of the highest standard, and a stylish snake-hipped pin-up with French reserve. In a nutshell, there are two distinct sides to Dimitri: a undeniable elegant and, a devoted dance music fanatic.

In February 2005 the French government awarded him the very official rank of Knight of the Arts and Letters. Along with Air and Cassius he was the first artist from the Electronica field to be given such a distinction.

His musical influences are deeply rooted in 70s Funk and Disco sounds that spawned todays House music but also original soundtracks from 50’s and 60’s cult movies. With such a large mix, Dimitri remains of one of clublands most empathic and most unpredictable DJs. Playing across genres and tempos his first goal is to share his love for music while moving your mind, body and soul.

Dimitri’s DJing career started in the late 80’s on the Parisian pirate radio scene. Moving to an official and nationwide radio he became the very first DJ to pioneer house music all over France. His mixshow was first of its kind and ran over 10 years til 1998 making him a cult figure with dance music connoisseurs.

Born in Russia BORIS pumping-hard, driving sound has become synonymous with “the New York sound.” The energetic, uplifting music that BORIS masterfully crafts from the DJ booth has frequently caught the attention of major record labels.

Known for playing 12-hour marathon sets of slick, pumping house music, Boris was raised in the U.S. While attending classes at the Institute of Audio Research in New York City during the day, he began his professional DJ career at night, first landing a gig at the club Tilt and then graduating to bigger rooms like Sound Factory, Exit, and Carbon. By the time he hit the big time by holding parties at the Roxy and landing a residency at the Limelight, he was also remixing the likes of Janet Jackson (“All I Want”), Anastacia (“Left Outside Alone”), and Jewel (“Stand”). His mix of Pink’s “Get the Party Started” took the track to the top of the dance chart, and soon flying down to Miami’s famed Crobar to play in front of huge crowds became a regular occurrence. The tracks on his 2006 mix CD, Believe, were influenced by the music he spun at Crobar, while the title was inspired by the “Believe in Boris!” motto that scrolled on the club’s LCD screens during his gig. ~

One of the breakout house producers of the late ’90s, Cevin Fisher is responsible for a growing number of club favorites including “Freaks Come Out,” “(You Got Me) Burnin’ Up,” “Music Saved My Life,” and “House Music.” Fisher began DJing while in his teens but later in a spot at the mecca for garage music, Club Zanzibar. From there, he moved to New York in the late ’80s and began working on production with employees like Motown and Arthur Baker’s Shakedown Studios. Convinced by Danny Tenaglia to begin recording on his own, he debuted with several anthemic tunes like “House Is a Feeling” (as Sunday School) and “Hands on Love,” songs that carried on the vibes of early house pioneers Tony Humphries and Larry Heard. Early singles “The Way We Used To” and “Shine the Light” earned international clubplay, though it was 1998’s “The Freaks Come Out” that pushed him into the mainstream house stratosphere. Released on at least five different labels, the single made Fisher’s reputation as a suave producer, with preeminent vocals on his cuts. Two compilations appeared in 1999, the mixed Dangerous Disco and the Nervous compilation Cevin Fisher’s Nervous Tracks. One year later, Underground 2000 appeared on Razor & Tie. Fisher has also remixed Quincy Jones, Chaka Khan, Robert Miles and Kevin Aviance. .
